Former player Peter Harvey was elected as the new Chairman of Staffordshire
County Cricket Club at the first meeting of the county committee following the 136 th
Annual General Meeting of the county club. The 67 year old former Stone and Caverswall player represented the county between 1964 and 1973 making 49 appearances and capturing 121 wickets. He is the father of Richard Harvey who relinquished the captaincy of the county at the end of last season. Another former captain Dave Hancock remains as President whilst Nick Archer, having relinquished the chairmancy after six years in the hot seat, reverts to the Secretary position he has previously occupied. Eddie Pilmore takes up the Assistant Secretary position with Andrea Leat continuing as Assistant Secretary (Membership). Keith Finney continues as the Treasurer with Chris Hopkin the Legal Adviser. On the
playing side Joe Cumberbatch has been appointed to the new role of Team Manager whilst Graham Warner continues as the Director of Cricket and Kim Barnett remains the 1 st XI Coach. Former captain Richard Harvey was elected onto the
county committee along with Barry Brereton.
Nick Archer will continue as the Chairman of the Cricket Committee and says,

commenced a few seasons ago and I believe we are now in a strong position to take
